This workshop is for members to continue their DEI knowledge building and awareness journey centered around the 2SLGBTQ+ community. It will be led by two facilitators from The Get REAL Movement. This workshop is a great starting point (or refresher) for individuals looking to foster more inclusive and affirming environments for 2SLGBTQ+ individuals. Participants will come away from this workshop with a deeper understanding of the concepts of social justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion (JEDI) and the reasons and benefits of JEDI-related organization changes. The workshop will educate individuals on an enhanced comprehension of terms and concepts relevant to 2SLGBTQ+ inclusion. There will be increased recognition of examples of “unconscious bias” and “microaggressions” and how to challenge, interrupt, and repair damage from their harm. Individuals will receive a greater understanding of the practice of allyship including actionable tools, practical steps, and creative ideas to implement change from an organizational, hiring, and personal perspective. And lastly, individuals will take away a greater capacity for (un)learning and growth around JEDI topics.

Food will be provided by Levant Pizza and CRAIG'S cookies who are proudly part of the 2SLGBTQ+ community.

This is a members-only event.
