Accessibility & Beyond Part Two: Navigating Accessibility in Residential Spaces

The IDEA Committee is excited to host its second "Accessibility and Beyond" workshop, deep diving into navigating accessibility specifically within residential spaces. We are thrilled to welcome Chris Stigas of HandiHelps as our guest speaker, who will lead a comprehensive review of current accessibility requirements in Ontario and address common misconceptions.

Join us for a workshop that will delve into an accessibility analysis, offering practical insights that delve into the Rick Hansen Foundation Accessibility Certification (RHFAC). Participants will learn how interior designers, project managers, and residential real estate professionals can empower their clients to "go beyond" basic compliance, creating truly inclusive and functional homes and communities. We will also explore emerging trends in residential amenity spaces, examining how these shared areas can be designed for maximum inclusivity and accessibility for all residents.
